An absolutely lovely customer asked me to make a pirate themed birthday cake for her son Noah, sending me a picture of exactly what she wanted. The cake was originally made by Taarten Droom and I really loved the design. I used inspiration from the original design and added a few different touches, but it was difficult to mess with the original creation which was just perfect! Loved making the little boy topper in my own design, wearing his pirate onesie and spotted handkerchief sitting next to his treasure chest of gold and siver coins tumbling down the cake. all hand modelled, no cutters used. I also enjoyed making the rolling waves.

The top tier is Caramel Mud and the second and third tier are White Chocolate Mud, needless to say the completed product was so heavy I had to get my husband to carry it and even he complained about the weight! Hope you like it :)
