It’s Mr Robinson’s birthday today and since I’m always making cakes for other people it only seemed fair that I made one for him too!

He’s not a fan of icing so it was a good excuse to try out a ‘naked’ cake – vanilla sponge filled with fresh cream & strawberry preserve and decorated with fresh roses and pine cones.
