I was given the task to create a Mossy Cammo cake. Problem was- I don’t know what Mossy Cammo was. So after spending many hours and reviewing thousdands of mossy cammo templates, cakes and other photos I decided that if I couldn’t use an edible imagine for my cake ( too easy) I would have to paint it. The only requests were that there be antlers on top of the cake and a rifle below with leaves.

This is a hand painted cake with modeling chocolate used for the antlers and gun.. I made the antlers with white modeling chocolate then lightly brushed tan and brown paint on it for the antler effect. I then hand painted all the leaves. Intentionally giving them contrast from the colors of the cake to make it more noticeable.

This is a 6" cake so you can imagine how tiny the gun really is.
