I made this cake for a little girl turning 1. The head and body are all carved out of cake. The head has a little bit of rice krispie treats where the nose is to extend it. I carved the head from a 6 inch ball cake, the body is made from a 7 inch round cake. Feet, hands and mini cake are all rice krispie treats, the rest is made out of sugarpaste and sometimes with a little flower paste mixed in. I secured the head with one main dowel through the whole cake and a 4 more under the head. Great fun to make… I have added a couple of pics taken while making it.
