This was my entry for Cake International Birmingham and it got me a Gold and First in The Decorative Exhibit class. I worked on this for a few weeks completely hand painting everything. It has a bit of a twist. In its design and construction it actually dispenses dry ice out through the pipe works (to steam) I’m currently working on getting a video up on my facebook page to show it in action.

I love the steam punk concept and wanted to create something that not only looked the part but also functional. So all the dials and pipes do actually have a purpose and are not just randomly placed.

I was absolutely thrilled to bits with the result it got and the feedback I have had has been fantastic. I do hope you all like and be sure to pop by my page to catch the upcoming video.

Every time I see this, I zoom in and admire, and drool over the details. This, in my humble opinion, is the most outstanding Steampunk cake that ever was, or is ever likely to be. Your cleverness with the design and pipework sets you apart. Every last detail on this from top to board is just W O W. Fifa thanks for such a wonderful comment, I might take you up on your offer, lol. At the moment it is on our kitchen table and we are still eating off our knees, I’m deciding on which piece of furniture is going to make way for it, lol. Thank you also for the re-pins. This was a piece of art that everyone appreciated! I just had to keep coming back to it to look at all the detail you put on there. Can’t wait to see the video, didn’t realise it actually worked as well, even better! Totally awesome creation!! :)
