I made this in August, but posting it now. Special birthday cake for a Maharashtrian foodie! Maharashtrian (or Marathi) cuisine is cuisine of the Marathi people from the state of Maharashtra in India. It covers a range from being mild to very spicy dishes. This particular dish has traditional recipes like, Puran Poli, varan-bhat(daal-rice), puri, vegetables, koshimbir(salad), papad and curd-rice, served on banana leaf, which is decorated with surrounding traditional Rangoli design. Enjoyed doing each & every detail.
