We were having a family meal to welcome my brothers fiancée to England (she’s just arrived from L.A.) and I thought a cake would be nice finishing touch.

So here is my blushing teddy with a single rose. It was relatively quick to make, maybe a good choice for a first birthday or christening! He’s a chocolate mud cake with baileys and buttercream filling, covered with vanilla buttercream.

I’m pleased to say that she loved the surprise, as did my brother….and for once I got to eat some cake!
