This cake was for my mums 60th birthday and I wanted to do something elegant and special.
It was a 2 tier vanilla sponge and strawberry jam filling and then once iced covered in individually placed rose petals. I wanted to do something for my mum that would push my decorating skills as this was my first time at making this type of cake, and when presented to my mum the look on her face is something I will always remember, a priceless moment.
