As a hobby baker this is the biggest cake I have ever made. Each tier measured nearly 7 inches tall!
The bottom tier was 10" and consisted of 6 layers of QC lemon Madeira cake filled with lemon curd and Italian Meringue Buttercream, decorated with fondant ruffles, the Middle tier was 8" and was 6 layers of QC sticky toffee Madeira cake with a caramel buttercream and salted caramel sauce filling, decorated with edible silver leaf and the top tier was a 6 layer Frou Frous chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream filling and Dairy Milk chocolate ganache, decorated with vertical fondant pleats. Flower paste Peonies completed the decoration in peach to match the colours of the bridesmaids dresses. The cake was for my husbands nephews wedding yesterday.
