I made this cake as a contribution for a Charity Bike Ride. My Partner’s studio was doing a Charity Bike running from the South of England up to Newcastle, stopping at every studio they have along the way. Their cause to support a Charity that helps building more schools in India. The Cake marked the mid-way Celebration stop over in Birmingham! I wanted to created a lacquered finish like those I saw in India for many wood art pieces with some hand painted details that relate back to the Hindu Culture.
