Although a very simple cake, this has a lovely story! It was made as a 40th Wedding Anniversary cake and the couple’s daughters thought up the theme – I was asked to make a cake that would look like a pretty field so they could put some rather fetching plastic cows in it – not your average anniversary cake!

When the couple were married, the bride’s father gave the husband a set of plastic cows as a joke ‘dowry’ and this had been a well loved family story ever since – a very sweet idea to bring it into the anniversary celebrations (and luckily they got the joke!)

Completely full of chocolate – rich chocolate mud cake with dark chocolate ganache and milk chocolate mousse filling – YUM :o)
