Carved chocolate cake for a little boy who is mad about Fireman Sam. I find vehicle cakes quite challenging but on this occasion it was Sam’s head that kept threatening to fall off which was the most worrying. I decided to make him without the usual cocktail stick inside – safer for a 2 year old – but it made life difficult for me and I wished I had kept it in there. I do hope his head survives the journey to the party!
