I made this cake for my brother-in-law’s birthday, it’s four tiers (7, 6, 5 and 4") of various mudcake flavours covered with chocolate fondant. He makes figures out of vintage house fittings (he’s a builder) and his workbench is covered with tools and bits and pieces that he incorporates into his creatures. This was what set the theme for the cake. All decorations are hand made and coloured with metallic paints, most of them airbrushed.
