Theme of the cake – South Indian Engagement. South Indian engagements and weddings are known for their decor and vibrancy. A typical south Indian engagement plate consists of bananas, other fruits, Indian sweets and most importantly, betel leaves and coconut which symbolize prosperity. So I made miniature fruits, sweets, coconut and betel leaves. To reflect the rich decor, made some hand made scroll work on the cake.
