Made this cake for a good friend’s Birthday – she happens to be very girlie and when I saw the Caprice de Jaque cake by Colette Peters, I knew I had to attempt a variation of that cake – it’s just so over the top with beauty!! Red velvet cake with cream cheese icing filling, covered in fondant. I scored the fondant in wavy lines then hand painted sections with alternating pink and yellow luster dust. The ribbon roses, pearls and leaves were all fondant, the bow was gum paste. Had such fun working on this! :)
