The tree theme is meant to represent both a family tree and the tree of life. The two pairs of birds are golden, as the 50th is a golden wedding anniversary. And the apples don’t fall far from the tree. Made the mistake of taking the photo in bright sun, so the birds don’t show up as well as they did indoors, where they really popped.
