The week before the Cake International, London competition, one of my best friends asked me to make her daughter an 18th birthday cake. Nothing unusual about this you might think, but I was incredibly stressed, (as you can imagine) and despite a part of me thinking I must be insane, I really wanted to do this cake, as it only seems like 5 minutes ago, that this beautiful young woman was a 4 year old bridesmaid at my wedding. I can’t take the credit for this cake, as although I have made some slight changes, it is heavily inspired by Emma Jayne Cake Design.
