My girls ballet teacher asked me to make her wedding cake. I was worried when she explained her idea, but excited as well – it’s definitely a different wedding cake :) Both her & her husband have names that begin with D and they had compiled a list of different things beginning with “D” that they wanted on their cake! The only thing that didn’t start with D was their toppers Ctrl chasing Esc – if you google that it will come up with the threadless t-shirt that those guys are based off! When Dayle came over to have a look at the sketch of the cake she decided she wanted them in the Dinghy on top of the cake :) It is quirky & a cake that you’ll either love or hate! and that’s ok! Here’s what’s on there… Dingy, Daffodil, Dahlia, Dynomite, Dodo, Dopey (Dwarf), Disco Ball, Duck, Daisy, Darth Vader, Dagger (from WOW their fav game), Diamond & Dinosaur!
I’m most proud of the Dahlia – made thanks to LM Cake Design’s tutorial on FB and the hand painted Dodo, Dopey etc :)
