I made my sugar lace in a violet tone and then brushed with a mixture of gold and ivory lustre dust. This gave it a nice antique feel. The little sugar shoe is pale gold and the ribbon and cameo are a pale grey. I wasn’t sure if greys and golds would work together, but i’m pleased with the result. I think I may put this on a cake stand that will allow me to display some cupcakes decorated in gold and grey.
