In keeping with this years trend for brights I made this display cake for a photoshoot. Bright dahlias and burlap (hessian in the uk!) ribbon – I know I wouldn’t be able to use burlap on a real cake and I’m working on a burlap mould! I really enjoyed making this, it was lovely to play around with colour!

Yes, this is gorgeous I’m going to try and replicate burlap by using a mesh strained or window screen. This is inspiring
