Gum paste and modeling chocolate figure of Dr. Seuss’ the Cat in the Hat on top of the famous red crated box that holds Thing 1 and Thing 2. The cake was chocolate chip sponge cake covered in ganache and marshmallow fondant. Thing 1 and Thing 2 are also wired gum paste and modeling chocolate. This was for a birthday party for twin boys turning four. I also made 25 coordinating “hat” cake pops for the boys’ preschool class, and 4 dozen blue haired cupcakes. I love themes!!! So much fun!
