St Giles Hospice is based in Staffordshire in the UK. My mum works both paid and as a volunteer in two of the charity’s retail outlets, including the bookshop in Lichfield.

Today the shop celebrated 5 years of trading and to mark the occasion they invited some dignitaries and local people to join them in the shop for a slice of cake. Apparently it was very well received, but I’m hoping the local paper may have take a picture or two as well.

I took some pictures with and without the personal message on as I thought a ‘blank’ cake would be good for the portfolio!
