I made this cake at the weekend for my great niece Autumn on the occasion of her first birthday. My brief was “princess, castle, pink and purple”. I chose to use this quite neutral palette whilst still using just a touch of pink and lilac with lustred accents. The cake is a simple vanilla bean sponge with strawberry conserve and buttercream filling, topped with fondant. All decorations are hand made and completely edible. The inspiration for the design came from a Debbie Brown original design. Thanks for looking. :).
