This angel cake was created to celebrate a 40th birthday and raise awareness for an important cause. A friend of mine used her upcoming milestone birthday to create a fundraising event to help raise money towards research into a cure for the illness her eldest son is battling, a rare lung disease called Bronchiolitis Obliterans. The cake features a beautiful angel holding the green awareness ribbon for organ donation. As a cake designer, it is always a privilege to create a cake for a special occasion, but it is an even bigger honour when it’s for an occasion with a greater cause.
