I've been decorating cakes since 2008. I was an active participant in the Baker's Battle in Texas in 2009 and 2011, and will be again when we go back in 2013 for some additional things that did not make it in 2011. I'm the proud mother of two sons, the oldest is 28 and serves in the TX Nat'l Guard, and the youngest is 24, married, and was in the Infantry with the 201st. My daughter-in-law is a zombie artist and pretty darned good at it. I've been married to my sweet husband, the love of my life, for 28 years. I'd be someone else without him. I'm truly thankful to have him in my life.
I've been featured in two of the 2011 American Cake Decorator magazines, and have competed in the Austin Cake Show in 2011 and 2012, placing with 2/3 pieces in 2011 and 4/4 pieces in 2012 (3 first place). The 2011 show was my first ever competition.
I started teaching my cookie sculpting technique in 2012.
