My journey with baking and cake art started back in July 2011. So many people know me to be an office executive. I worked for the same company in accounting for 11 years. So needless to say everyone was shocked to see the drastic career change.

Me and my husband wanted to finally have our dream beach wedding. We found a great resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and booked our wedding there. It was a dream come true except for the few things that went wrong on my wedding day. I know that not everything always goes according to plan in a wedding but this little mishap happened to spark something in me that changed me and the direction that my life was going. My wedding cake was pretty much a plain jane cake since the resort didnt really offer anything special when it came to cakes. So I decided just to have it plain and I would bring with me the topper, the sugar diamonds and diamond banding to go around the cake. I gave everything to the wedding coordinator and explained to her how I wanted everything placed and she "promised"me that she will comply with my requests. When I walked in to the reception and after my first dance I walked up to the cake and it was a DISASTER!! They had painted buttercream over my sugar diamonds, never put the diamond banding and dropped the cake topper on the side of the cake that left an indent on the side of the cake. I was devastated I had planned for this day for so long. I am very very anal about details, so every little thing matters to me. Of course they were apologetic but that didn't change what had already happened.

So this is how my passion started I came back with this need to bake and decorate cakes more then anything else. I was determined to make all my clients satisfied and happy with every order they receive from me. I never wanted anyone to feel how I felt about my wedding cake. I'm 100% self taught and I go through tons of trial and error until whatever I'm doing is PERFECT. Im not going to lie, its challenging at times but I LOVE it. I really do enjoy my job and I take every single order I get with the same dedication to detail. This is my dream so I am happy to say I'm a baker and cake artist and I love it. .
