Before quitting my job a few years ago, I prayed for God to give me a marketable talent so that I could contribute to my family as I stayed home with my girls and homeschooled. 6 weeks after that prayer, my friend called and said she wanted me to make her wedding cake! I thought she was crazy, but I made a beautiful 3-tiered basket cake (the 3rd cake i had ever made in my life!!)--it was great and I had something to market!
I'm amazed daily at how quickly I can pick up new skills or find ways to do stuff. When God blesses with a talent, he really pours it on!! My cup runneth over!!
