In January of 2013 I made a baby shower cake for a friend, it was my first official 'Kre8ive cake' order. It was a 3 tier red velvet cake with a white bow around the bottom, flowers on the middle tier with a baby on a blanket topper.
From that first baby shower I received my next orders and Kre8ive Cakes has gone from strength to strength.
Kre8ive cakes was just me, a stay at home mum of 3 who has a love of all things art and baking, we are now a team of 4 and plans are underway to grow bigger and better.
We now average 6 cakes a week, not bad considering we have a very small team.
Our first Macaron Day was in March and we started at 500 macarons and the following month they sold out so quickly we had to increase to 800, we have so far made over 4500 Macarons!
September 2013 sees us having our very first Cupcake Day! Our cupcakes have obviously gone out with cake orders but this is our first day just for Cupcakes and we are excited to see how this will grow as well.
We don't think of ourselves as 'Professional Cake Decorators' because we are constantly learning with every cake that goes out, we are researching and pushing ourselves to learn more with every new cake idea that we take on.
We have never said no to a cake, we ask how. How can we meet this clients wishes, how can we achieve something we have never tried, how can we make sure that not only is the cake up to our high standard they will never feel the disappointment I did when I brought my sons cake home.
We are here to help our client have an amazing celebration and create artwork that they not only love the look of but enjoy eating. The biggest compliment you can give any cake decorator is saying that it looks too good to eat and we are lucky enought to have had quite a few say that to us.
