I was taught to bake as soon as I could reach the mixing bowl by my Grandmother as a child and continued to bake throughout my life but developed the cupcake bug in June 2010 after baking cupcakes for my Sisters birthday and has never looked back. As a mother to 4 young children and a nurse by trade I gave up her job in September 2010 and threw myself into developing Carina's Cupcakes, completely self taught in sugarcraft. I have developed my own set of skills, techniques, business development skills and acumen that are now taught to many other budding cake makers and business's through my online PDF tutorials and private courses taught from my home.

In July 2011 we launched our online shop after publishing a couple of PDF guides through our Facebook page and developing a SAFE method for posting both Fondant and BUTTERCREAM cupcakes via ROYAL MAIL!! The shop quickly grew as new stock lines were added to meet demand and we developed a range of our 'Handmade' decorations including fondant pearls to prettyficate home bakes, we now stock all of the tools and materials we ourselves use at Cupcake HQ on a daily basis. It is Carina's Cupcakes intention to make beautiful cakery possible for everyone from the basic homebaker to the business baker. We are dedicated to giving you the skills, materials and techniques to produce exquisite cakes. Our couture cake guides will teach you Carina's unique cake designs and our 'How To' guides teach the basic cake/cupcake techniques you will need with step by step instructions, full colour images, handy hints and full after sale email support. Our starter and cake create kits are conveniently pre prepared and give you all you need ready to recreate the designs.
