Gold and White Edible Lace Cake

Having loved sugarveil for many years but always been a little disappointed that it eventually goes brittle have now discovered Cake Lace – bought some at the Cake and Bake Show in Earls Court, London a few weeks ago. Since then have been blown away by it – but fear my display cakes have broken out with an epidemic of lace.

Beautiful! I have been thinking about trying this lace- which may did you use?

I’ve just tried another brand too – Doric – but not as good as the Claire Bowman Cake Lace – that’s my favourite.
The mat I used for this cake was the Isadora mat for the white lace and for the gold lace I used the Chantilly mat and used Claire Bowmans ready mixed gold.
