This was very special to me! I donated this cake for the Volunteer Appreciation party at Pawmetto Lifeline, a no-kill animal rescue & shelter where I volunteer as often as I can. They literally save thousands of cats & dogs each year from being destroyed at the municipal shelter.

A big fundraiser is the Bark to the Park, kind of like a 5K, except it’s a mile-long dog walk. It’s so much fun, & every kind of dog you can imagine is there! They have these adorable little cartoonish doggies (& a kitty) that are the ‘mascots’ for the event. I recreated these animals on a cake & included the main Pawmetto Lifeline logo on the top of the cake.

It’s a praline pound cake with hazelnut praline buttercream filling, iced with buttercream, & fondant decor.
