Ruffly topsy turvy peony cake

Three-tiered topsy turvy cake with ruffle buttercream technique on the edges. Flavors are strawberry cake (thank you, Loren at the Baking Sheet), vanilla and red velvet with vanilla swiss meringue buttercream. Lettering and peony are gumpaste.

Thanks, ladies! :) Yes, I used my favorite, the petal tip for the sides and besides the cramping in my wrists, the whole decorating part was fairly easy. The buttercream tinting process? Well, that was a different story! :) Many hours and many tubes of food coloring were lost in trying to get the colors in my head and letters.
