Sugar flower daffodils.
I love this time of year, when the first buds of spring start appearing, and the days start getting longer.

They are gorgeous Raewyn! Sure wish I could see some of those daffodils peaking out around here!

Helenna, did you use a cutter for these gorgeous daffodils, or make them freehand? They are the most realistic sugar daffodils I have ever seen!

Hello all – thank you for your lovely comments :) whitecrafty : I used the Mexican Hat method, taught to me at Brooklands college (so no cutters required) but you can also use daffodil cutters. I was thinking of doing a tutorial on this, as the Mexican Hat method is useful for so many other flowers, but don’t know if many people would be interested in it. Would be willing to share this with you if you’re interested. Helenna x

Oh yes Helenna, I’m sure everyone would be interested in a tutorial on the Mexican hat method. I’m not familiar with it, but from the looks of your flowers, it would be an awesome tutorial!!
