Chocolate cake for the Boot Inn Pub to celebrate the end of refurbishments. They were putting on an all day party for the local village and asked me to make this. The real boot features in the photos too. The Boot was going to be upright, but as it was soooo tall (life-sized) and I didn’t want to use supporting dowels through it, it ended up horizontal instead. Fun and cheery project.

Hello again Ana!! :) thank you! this had many challenges and took three days in stages what with the templates, boards and disasters that occurred haha!! But it all came right in the end and it was such a great party! The Boot Inn Pub put on such a generous party for everyone (all on the house!) and it was an absolute HONOUR to make this. The real boot to match this is part of their new logo and they let me borrow it while I made this.

Another absolutely amazing cake! It is the prefect match to the actual boot. I’ll bet most people at the party did not even realize it was cake!

Thank you Whitecrafty! I delivered the cake in the morning and joined the party in the evening. When I arrived the landlady in the pub said that the gentleman who is responsible for polishing the real boot kept wanting to touch it and get his polish out haha! There was amazing feedback to me that night and I was overwhelmed. xxx
