I didnt start this cake until friday afternoon for my daughter’s little birthday party today. I mean I hadn’t even started baking it lol and kids being kids my whole three wanted to help so that added an extra hour to the task hehe and another hour to clean up the mess they make lol but all totally worth it to see the joy it brings to them and me when we bake together.
So needless to say I was up until 3:30 am trying to finish it. I think I started making the pixie fairy at about midnight and even though I was so tired today I felt sooo excited and happy when my daughter seen it and LOVED it. She was soo happy I made the fairy. She even asked me what time I got to bed lol, the sweet little thing, when I told her nearly 4am she said awe mum im sorry. I just laughed and told her if id stay up to finish a cake for someone i didnt know (even if they were paying for it) there was no way i wouldnt stay up for her. I was very pleased with how the cake turned out in the short amount of time i gave myself to make it. x Tina

Aww thank you for sharing the story of this cake with us. The cake is just adorable. The best part is the wonderful memories you are creating with your little ones.

This is an absolutely beautiful cake Tina! I am totally amazed that you could make such an gorgeous cake in such a short time. I don’t think I could have done it if I had two weeks to make it!! Baking with the children is so fun, even if it takes twice as long to do something. They will remember the making of the cake long after it is gone!

This is so sweet, the fairy is just gorgeous and so is the cake. Your daughter is just lovely for caring enough to ask what time you got to bed :)
