This was a cake made last year for a family in the village. The Singers are Maureen and Den who live in a lovely old thatched cottage (Beam Cottage – I also made that into a Cake for her 60th birthday, which is in one of my earlier albums).
Fruit cake with sugar paste toppers. Snowman, The Little Boy, the Choristers (Maureen and Den!) and Street Lamp are all made with sugarpaste. The leaf decoration is cold porcelain. The cake measured 12” x 8”.
The cake itself is marzipanned and royal iced. The ‘snowfall’ is royal icing.
