Nautical Cake inspired by the awesome work of Theresa and Not Just Cake by Annie.
10 inch bottom tier (chocolate) and 6 inch top tier (red velvet).
All decorations edible. Boat made of rice crispy treats and covered in fondant.
Made my own silicone moulds from real seashells then used fondant to make the shells. All other decorations handmade.
For some particular reason my fondant kept cracking so I had to start over three times but it turned out pretty good.
I loved making this cake. Such a fun theme!
P.S: the boat is shiny as it just been washed and I was too eager to take picture to let it dry first!
