What a commission to end the year

Over a 100 hours to make this wedding cake but it was so fab to do
The couple were married in Boston in the autumn and honey mooned in Japan
This cake was for a welsh family celebration at Christmas at a local wedding venue
All hand painted using saracino cocoa butter and dust colours
The bride and groom were under 4” tall and made using the saracino modelling paste
The cake was covered with their covering paste
The top tier is cake sculpted and decorated to look like a section of the hotel they celebrated at, along with the arch in the tier below and all the bricks were embossed By hand using a cerart silicone tool
The Japanese garden was made from home made pastillage for the bridge torii gate, Buddha and lamp and Flowerpaste for the blossom and clipped trees

Such a labour of love but their reaction made it oh so worth it
