Leopard Print 21st

The leopard print cake was made for a “1920’s Flappers & Gangsters” 21st birthday party. The bottom two tiers are chocolate mud, the top a vanilla bean butter cake. The birthday girl was very particular about the design, she had lots of leopard print and feathers in the room.
Creating the sharp edges has been a bit of a goal for me, I have slowly been getting better and better at it, and I was thrilled at how they turned out on this cake. The whole cake was airbrushed gold, before having the leopard print painted on. It is my first attempt at painting leopard print, I used 4 different colours and I was really happy with the result.

This is pure perfection – you did such a fantastic job. You should be proud of those sharp edges! I’m still finding this one of my biggest difficulties (along with annoying bulges) but you have done a beautiful job!
