Made for my friend’s son. First time using RKT. I’m glad I covered the gup (submarine) with 2 layers of fondant. Made the finish much smoother, although the gup was still heavier than I expected. I guess not as heavy as if I had made it out of gumpaste.

Is that buttercream border on the bottom of the cake? I’ve never seen that “look” done in buttercream. So clever!

Thanks to all for the nice comments! Yes, Peggy, that’s buttercream border on the bottom. I did it to simulate water or ocean waves without having to mess up the finish of my cake. I used a #10 or #12 on it. Your cakes are so stunning btw!!!
