This is my cake entry at OSSAS2015 that Im so excited to share with you… it got first in category Tiered Non Wedding, Best in Division and Best of Show. My inspiration is the season of Autumn and all its color and splendor. Lillibeth the Fairy sits on top of a white pumpkin filled with zinnias callas and roses , fall colored leaves, and succulents. i used marzipan to make the berries, apples and gourds and the mice. The tree stump is chocolate fondant panels i textured in crumpled aluminium foil and the basket i tediously wove with gumpaste+MC. the cascading succulents and wheat and mini yellow roses are piped Royal icing on a floral wire. Lillibeth wears gelatin dragonfly wings and rice paper dress, her head are combination of mini cutter flowers and tiny handmade flowers. The base is RI covered board sponged up to replicate moss and drying grass. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as i enjoyed creating this baby…
