Lesley’s Daughter Sophie had a birthday this week.
The request for this cake was a black and white cake with flowers and flamingos with a written verse made up of wise words.
The rest was up to me.
I took my inspiration for the Flamingo from a cake by April Julian.
It’s only a tiny cake 4" but I think I’ve put a lot on to a very small cake.
From the photos it doesn’t look that small though.
Flamingo and flowers are wired flower paste (I used a love heart shaped polystyrene dummy cut in half for the flamingo body to keep the weight to a minimum).
