I made this cake for my best friend who turn 40th today :)
without her, I don’t really know how to bake. She is the one who showed me what is " Room temp butter Means" hahaha I used to melt it with microwave, that’s what I thought about room temp butter no wonder my cookies, and muffin always taste not good at all, like super dense.

She loves flowers so much and also loves antique vintage stuffs.
And also painting is kinda her hobby :)
she put her own painting for her home decoration.

I did the frame outside her name mold it with my hand and painted it gold to match with the vintage style theme, and then I got an idea to put a painted flowers next to it since she loves painting. as for the damask style, I have to painted it gold since I don’t have any stencil yet.
for the peony was suppose closed peony, but i am still learning making flowers. Since I don’t make flowers a lot, this is my 2nd peony flowers. I used heart cutter and round scallop cutter for peony and using toothpick for impression, I am not sure if using peony’s cutter will makes thing looks better or not since it is kinda pricey in here. as for the leaf I just hand cut it and also using toothpick for leaf impression. I hope will get better next time.

can’t wait to see her face :D

You did a great job Junita xx and love the story about the butter xx If we’re not told we don’t know, so we’re always learning. And I’ve learnt that there is no such thing as a stupid question.
