I made this cake for my youngest son best friend. He wanted me to do a basketball cake and I wanted to make him something special. I immediatly thought of a basketball suspended, about to enter the basket and score some points, however I wasn’t sure if I could make it, so didn’t want to create high expectations.
It was a week with lots of work and I was about to give up that idea and make something easier, because didn’t have time to make the structure in advance. But I wasn’t happy with that thought and, at last minute, I decided to go for it anyway and pray that everything went right. I might say I was lucky because it worked out as I had planned and I was able to deliver the cake just in time. Only had some problems with the sugarnet from the basket but was able to fix it just fine.
