It is with tears in my eyes that I post this cake. This is my 500th cake posted to Cakes Decor. I have been so blessed through this website and with my business the last 3 years. I was asked to participate in the career expo at the high school where I work my full time job. I was asked to be there as a business owner. I made 3 display cakes, this original design is one of them. It is an 8", 6", 4" dummy cake, topped with an rkt roof on the bird house. The dummy cakes were covered with fondant, and textured to look like a silver birch tree. I used Royal Icing as ‘snow’, and put edible snowy glitter on it while it was still wet. The cardinal has a special meaning to me. My husband and I watch the cardinals at the bird feeder all winter long.
