Alaskan Paradise

I made this for a woman who was born in Cordova, Alaska and worked on a fishing boat as a teenager. Those are Copper River salmon on top of the cake. I love all the sugar techniques on this cake. Lots of gumpaste and painting on fondant. The snow capped mountains are royal icing. The boat is rice krispy treats. It’s still one of my favorites.

Love this! Just took an order for a commercial fisherman. I might have to use your idea, if you don’t mind!
