Same cake, two different looks and titles……

I always love picking a title for my cakes, but this one has shown me how you can change the look and even the title of a cake purely with what you choose to use as a backdrop for the photograph.

So now, by picking the Toile de Joy wall paper it has a French look, and with the Book background it can be changed to look more Victorian and faded.

I’m not sure which one I like the best………Parisian Beauty or Faded Grandeur?……which one do you prefer???
I’m interested to see what you think xxx

Karen, this cake is really lovely! Yes you are right just changing the backdrop you completely changed the look of the cake. I have to say that I love both French and Victorian looks!!! Well done!!

oh wow, WOW! i love them both but I think I’m going with the books. Tough decision though as the wall paper is equally fabulous! Very interesting comparison, thanks for showing us! this is going to my Amazing Cakes board this instant! Love!! http://www.pinterest.com/pin/490610953128637402/

The cake is beautiful. I think I prefer the books. It just seems to make the cake pop a bit more. Either way it is beautiful.

What a gorgeous cake Karen! I think I prefer the Toile de Joy wall paper background. I think the soft pink really compliments your lovely cake!

Wow!! thank you so much everyone for your lovely comments…….not sure why it’s posted twice except it had a blip when I pressed post……and said the site was busy, but hay ho……
Thank you Marlene from CakeHeaven, Dina from Miettes, Fifi – thank you so much for sharing me on Pinterest!!, Thank you Ana, Goreti, Toni, timefortifin, Christine from sugarmagiccakes, and cake on me….it seams like the books backdrop is the most popular at the moment……also, do you agree the colour of the ribbon you choose to finish your cake is really important? If you don’t pick the colour ribbon it can ruin the finished look. I take ages choosing the ribbon colour sometimes…lol xx
