I don’t get to do many cakes and should not have done this one lol!

My real job is making desserts and we are always extremely busy at xmas! This year was even busier than ever! Crazy busy so I got quite stressed with this lol.. wanted to throw it out the window at one point lol!

But it was for a nephews engagement on hubbies side so even though I had no time i still did it lol! I made a few sugar roses and a peony and rustled through my box of sugar roses and used some that I had made in the past few months too. I hand painted the edges of the ruffles with edible metallic paint. The top tier is silver Leaf (Which was just as much of a nightmare to use as gold leaf.. in fact it might have been worse lol!)

The board is a little different, I covered it with a blue material with rose pattern and a scrapbook decoupage card and then put the bling on the edge to tie it in with the cake. I put food grade card between the cake and the scrapbook card.
