This cake is my first attempt at oriental lace on my own and with a live cake. Geraldine Randlesome held a class here in Florida that I attended a few weeks ago to learn this technique. Its quite nerve wracking as you have to flip your cake completely upside down in order to pipe the strings that stand above the level of the cake. Live dangerously- give it a try!
