I made my first cupcakes in December 2011 & from then I was hooked!!! Always wanting to try something new & try to improve my skills I loved trying out different flavours & designs.
In March 2012 I decided to make my first large cake for my dads birthday & I really loved making the little fondant racing cars & the figure of what was supposed to me my dad.To my surprise I got completely absorbed in decorating the cake & adding all the little finishing touches that made the cake so personal but it was my dads reaction that made me want to do it again. Knowing that something that I created put a smile on someone face & made them have a little giggle as they took in all of the detail I had painstakingly added.
From then on I made cakes & cupcakes at every opportunity & the rest really is history. One thing led to another & after a lot of gentle persuasion from family & friends I opened for orders on the 1st August 2012. I am constantly trying to improve what I do & I love the challenges that my customers set me. I absolutely love doing novelty cakes that almost take on little personalities of their own with all of the little details that you see when you look a little closer.
My 3 girls are constantly challenging me with ideas for their own birthday cakes which seem to get more adventurous by the day & while they are my number 1 fans they can also be my arshest critic if they think something is not right in their eyes & I have been known to make changes based on their opinions in the past.
